Director of Outpatient Services
Position Overview
The Director of Outpatient Services is a key member of both the multidisciplinary and leadership teams. They are responsible for the oversight and management of the daily outpatient program operations, achieving the mission by delivering high-quality patient care and performance metrics, and supporting the overall clinical and administrative goals. The Director of Outpatient Services will also play a critical role in fostering a positive and collaborative work environment while supporting the professional development of their team.
Specific Responsibilities
- Critical to understand, fully believe in, and be responsible for conducting MBHC’s mission and vision.
- Supervise, manage, and mentor their team in accordance to policy and identified need for professional development. This includes but is not limited to: supervision, regular performance evaluations, goal setting, constructive feedback, corrective action, performance improvement planning, and individualized support.
- Coordinate daily staffing schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels in all outpatient departments.
- Conduct staffing decisions, recruitment, and retention strategies.

- Active Michigan LMSW, LLP, LPC, LMFT, or APN with ability to provide licensure supervision required.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in behavioral healthcare including experience in substance use treatment and a minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership role required.
- Behavior management de-escalation certification and CPR/Basic Life Support certification or the ability to obtain certification required.
- Experience working with child and adolescent populations preferred.

Position Overview

- Responsible for the 24-hour management of the Nursing Department and assuring that the daily tasks of the Nursing Department are completed to the standards of MBHC.

This includes but is not limited to: supervision, regular performance evaluations, goal setting, constructive feedback, corrective action, performance improvement planning, and individualized support.

Director of Operations
Position Overview
The Director of Operations is a key member of the MBHC team. They are responsible for the oversight and operations of core shared functions. This includes but is not limited to: finance (accounts payable/receivable), information technology, facility and supply management, and human resource functions with their associated digital platforms, as well as assisting with various administrative tasks. The Director of Operations will also play a critical role in fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Specific Responsibilities
- Critical to understand, fully believe in, and be responsible for conducting MBHC’s mission and vision.
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for the MBHC facility ensuring that all practices are aligned with legal and ethical standards, and meet compliance standards. The process includes but is not limited to: job postings, screening candidates, onboarding requirements, and orientation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations, recruiting agencies, and educational institutions to attract top talent for employment and internship opportunities.
- Ensure all program facility and supply needs are met.
- Provide guidance and support to leaders regarding employee relations, performance management, and corrective actions to maintain a positive and successful work environment.
- Lead and/or aid members of leadership in internal investigations regarding employee conduct.
- Collaborate with leaders to develop and implement employee retention strategies that include but are not limited to: employee development opportunities, satisfaction surveys and recognition programs.

This includes but is not limited to: contracts involving the HRIS solution, employee benefits, and recruitment platforms to ensure services are delivered efficiently, cost effectively, and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance within the HRIS system including but not limited to: employee data/files, employee training compliance, recruitment postings, and compliance or metric-related reporting.
- Lead the human resource department in implementation and adherence of all accreditor, licensure, or internal policies, procedures, and protocols applicable to employee files.
- Provide continuous monitoring of all required employee training, licenses, credentialing and/or certifications required by payors, accreditors, licensure, and policy to ensure compliance and good standing.
- Supervise, manage, and mentor their assigned team in accordance to policy and identified need for professional development. Revenue Cycle Manager
Position Overview
The Revenue Cycle Manager is a key member of the MBHC administrative team. They are responsible for the oversight and execution of the entire revenue cycle for a diverse payor mix. They will ensure accurate billing, claims processing, payor relations, and strategic growth planning. The Revenue Cycle Manager will also have a participating role in fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Specific Responsibilities
- Critical to understand, fully believe in, and be responsible for conducting MBHC’s mission and vision.
- Oversee the full revenue cycle management process, including patient registration accuracy, insurance verification, charge capture, claim submission, payment posting, denial management, and accounts receivable follow-up.
- Supervise, manage, and mentor the revenue cycle team in accordance with policy and identified need for professional development. This includes but is not limited to: scheduling, supervision, regular performance evaluations, goal setting, constructive feedback, corrective action, performance improvement planning, and individualized support.
- Prepare and submit clean claims to the appropriate payors. This may include state contracts, commercial insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, and out-of-network payors.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with payor-specific guidelines, coding, and documentation requirements.
- Monitor and follow up on submitted claims to ensure timely payment and resolve any issues related to denials or rejections.
- Analyze revenue cycle management reports and key performance indicators to optimize financial performance and identify trends or issues in billing processes.
- Review and verify patient insurance benefits, collect and process co-pays, monitor deductibles to adjust billing accordingly, and communicate out-of-pocket costs to patients.
- Set up and maintain billing systems and payor profiles within the EMR, practice management systems, and other related platforms.
- Ensure all systems reflect current CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS codes, and payor requirements.
- Document billing activities, claim statuses, and payor communications clearly and consistently.

- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a behavioral healthcare setting is required.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a leadership role is required.
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance, Medicaid (Michigan), Medicare, and out-of-network billing procedures required.
- Proficiency in using billing software and EMR systems required.
- Understanding of RCM best practices and metrics.
- Competency and experience with CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding specific to behavioral health.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, verbal and written communication skills, and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills with ability to work effectively in a time environment across all departments.
- Understanding of diverse cultures and gender-specific issues and the ability to incorporate needs of gender and culturally diverse groups into the organization.
- Exhibits excellent customer relation skills as evidenced by supportive and constructive communication with all contacts including coworkers, patients, stakeholders, payors, contractors, visitors, families, and referral sources.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, as well as lift when necessary. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus. The employee must also have the ability to handle stressful situations.
Travel:
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.
